What's in a Name

2009 Division Champions, the Moose Knuckles are one of two remaining select teams in the League.  In 2008 the League introduced a Select Division made up of four teams. The teams were registered as a team and could contain from 10 to whatever number skaters.  The first year was a success including the introduction of the full slap shot.  The following year the league decided to implement it in the Sunday mens and roll in the select teams as well.

As for the Moose Knuckles  - I finally asked what the name meant...I wished I hadn't.  This team's success is skill and numbers.  One of the few teams who have never picked up spares for lack of players turning out.  Team manager Richard Watt always keeps the league and team informed while Team Capt Chris Watson ensures team sentiment is known to the convener during his many visits to his "other" bench in the arena.
