Got Blood?

BSHL has teamed up with Canadian Blood Services for a unique partnership to get some blood out of you - off the ice. And how cool is this...not only do you get the opportunity to save ten lives but you and your team get a chance to win a team set of tees AND the all important Semi Divisional BYE securing your spot in the League's Finals* and a shot at the BSHL Cup and your very own BSHL Championship ring!

How's that? Well this year the League decided it was time to put the rumours to rest and find out who the best team was - in the entire league. You will read more on the details later but at a critical point in the Conferance finals one lucky team will get a bye, an opportunity to skip a playoff round - WOW! You get this bye by letting go all kinds of blood and lots of it:

The one team who dontates the most blood from now until March 31st will win the title of the most bloodiest hockey team in the league - and all the bragging rights which go with it! Now we all know that every player will give blood right - so there will be too many ties. Not so - here is the real clincher - not only the players get the opportunity to give blood - but their FANS do too! As long as they say they are giving it for the "BSHL <Your Team>" (if you can't remember your team name you can say my team, the Rivermen) Any they can be in Timmiskaming or Timbuctoo - just need to advise the donation centre that it is for a Blood Drive. Wait, Wait, Wait! "I can't give blood" The organizers understand - if you can't give blood for what ever reason - all you have to do is go to the Blood Centre and advise them that you are unable to give but want to be counted for the drive - no problemo.

You can give blood every 56 days. Whether you are involved in a drive or not, its in you to give - be a donor.
